Challenges
Striking the balance between the existing team responsible to interview and shortlist suitable candidate before the close of operations in HK and prospective candidates. Enhanced scrutiny of profiles and rejection reasons were not specific.
The pace that was required by the Board was not achieved due to delays from the incumbent team.
The recruitment process was slow due to multiple interviews and lagged evaluations of candidates.
Internal communications challenges
Client’s Malaysian counterpart, did not have clear guidance from US on the required talent and therefore had constant changes in JDs.

Closely worked with the client’s stakeholders to understand requirements
Developed an end to end recruitment tracker and reporting structure to identify process bottlenecks
Setup weekly reviews with the client’s Board to address pressing issues.
Provided the client with market data on skills availability in Malaysia and abroad
Organized online interviews for the client to understand the market flavor of available skills & adjust requirements to match reality.
Results
Successfully hired 25 professionals for the required roles.
Contributed to 40% of overall hiring over the recruitment period from a pool of 10+ suppliers.
The project expanded to place Service Provider as an MSP for all contract hiring of the client.
