Technical Specialist

Location: PJ
Salary: Up to RM5,700


Purpose of the Job
  • Ensure the organization and execution of the year plan and direct the own team, in line with the department/plant strategy and applicable guidelines, to realize the team objectives.
  • Primary responsibility is to do preventive maintenance, maintain basic condition of the machines and eliminate the machines weakness in order to deliver continuous production running with good products.

Business Complexity / Context
  • This role is assigned to production section and reports to SM. Covering 24/7 operation of the production in shift. Primary role is to upkeep the performance of the machine and attend 1st line troubleshooting together with Technical executives
  • Areas of responsibility    
  • Support 24/7 run production line and attend to downtime in UHT plant within the time explained in “Escalation Matrix’’;
  • Primary contact point for operators and Shift Manager during the shift for technical issues resolution during production;
  • Ensure all the plant maintenance carried out as per schedule;
  • Involved in all Corrective and Preventive execution as arranged by technical leadership team;
  • Support plant technical leadership team by involving, providing information for RCA sessions and effectively reduce breakdowns in plant
  • Work closely with plant technical leadership team to do improvement related to safety, cost and productivity;
  • To support other department as per superior plan

Main Accountabilities /Key Tasks

1. Safety
  • Maintains a safe working environment at the assigned area by ensuring compliance with equipment/machine safety guidelines and reinforcing safety standard operating procedures in the production area;
  • Ensures that safety, GMP and hygiene are observed in his/her area;
  • Provide deeper analysis and report on ORS on the Safety Observations at his/her area;
  • Lead the LMRA before executing both routine and non-routine activities;
  • Follow ups the closure of the safety observations in his/her area;
  • Suggests improvements in safety and ergonomics in his/her area.
 
2. Quality
  • Employ corrective and preventive actions on machines in case of deviation as documented in the Quality Plan;
  • Perform RCA for every deviation occurrence according to the RCA Triggering Matrix;
  • Partner with Quality on line release activities.

3. Service / Volume – Core Job
  • Perform SAP transactions for breakdown, corrective and preventive maintenance;
  • Perform machine and environment cleaning based on Hygiene standards after every Maintenance;
  • Perform troubleshooting of the equipment in the case of a breakdown;
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the immediate superior;
  • Basic trouble shooting/ First line maintenance;
  • Perform routine check-up of all running machines (e.g. belts, bolts, leaks, etc);
  • Perform breakdown maintenance of production equipment and its auxiliary components including CIP line;
  • Performed assigned maintenance checklist and performance physical preventive maintenance during plan shut downs


4. Process confirmation & continuous improvement
  • Ensure the standard way of working and provide analyses of current (work)processes, evaluate bottlenecks and advice regarding improvements, and ensure implementation after approval;
  • Pro-actively do machine inspections and find for abnormalities and escalate
  • Continuously look for improvement initiatives to optimize and standardize production processes.
  • Create an environment of continuous improvement by emphasizing the importance of improvement and by facilitating the team to identify opportunities;
  • Participate in CI projects, propose and implement on the machines
  • Participate in RCA meetings and conduct 1st line RCA during breakdown by collection technical information

Other Special Requirements    
  • Good proficiency in MS office
  • Basic Knowledge of SAP
  • Good English and Bahasa Melayu language skills
  • Electrical certification and automation certification in added advantage

Knowledge    
  • Work and think level: Higher Vocational / Diploma in technical 4-6 years relevant work experience
  • Technical Diploma in electrical/mechanical/automation
  • SPM leavers with >10 years of experience in food industry or factory set-up
