Salary range from RM3,500 to RM4,200
Location: Kota Kinabalu, Sabah

Job description for Team Lead


• We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Team Lead to join our team in Sabah.
• Reporting to our headquarters in Kuala Lumpur, you will play a key role in providing exceptional accounting and financial support to our clients.
• As an integral member of our team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of our firm while advancing your career in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
• Exposure to clients from multinational to SMEs in Malaysia, Singapore, China, Australia and other countries.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting activities for assigned clients, including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and budgets to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Assist in the preparation of tax returns and liaise with tax authorities to resolve any issues or inquiries.
• Provide payroll processing and administration services, including the calculation of salaries; statutory declarations, and employee claims.
• Collaborate with clients to identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.
• Support ad hoc projects and initiatives as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, or equivalent is preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a similar role or within a professional services firm
• Experience in Leading and manage team members, providing them with training and development opportunities as necessary.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Excel, Word)
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Malaysian citizenship or valid work authorization in Malaysia
• Ability to speak Mandarin is an additional advantage
