Tax Specialist Thai Speaker

Purpose of the role:

This position is for an individual contributor that prepares complex income tax provisions, draft income tax computation and provides support and works closely with External Advisor. This position is a preparer for indirect tax liabilities, and specifically on the indirect tax implications of any transactions and works with External Advisor and Opco. VAT, Withholding tax, Transfer Pricing. Works closely with Shared Services of PTP, OTC.
 

Job Description:

  • Prepare complex corporate tax computations and tax returns.
  • Prepare income tax forms and other relevant documents.
  • Able to meet timeline for all compliance submission to stakeholders
  • Attend to all ad hoc information Not Applicable Adhere to Company's Values, competencies, ICFR and TOM
  • Adhere to Company's policies, tax procedures and tax compliance, agreed global procedures, regional business requirements, statutory governmental regulations, and SOX requirements to minimize liability and risk.
  • Self-check own tax computations prior to submissions.
  • Assist to identify tax savings, reduction.
  • Adhere to Internal Audit Controls and tax processes.
  • Perform tax laws research and identify latest tax regulation changes and incorporate into tax comps.
  • Conduct research and consult with team members on various tax matters Accountable for all aspect of service delivery in his/ her regional process – quality, efficiency, effectiveness, internal controls, risk.


Stakeholder Management.

  • Submit tax computations to for review.
  • Advisor stakeholders to monitor transactions and activities for tax planning or reporting opportunities.
  • Building relationships with External Advisor.
  • Act as an escalation point of contact when appropriate.
  • Providing solutions to tax implications of transactions.


Continuous Improvements:

  • Proactively identify process improvements and turnaround time.
  • Sustain thorough and ‘up to date’ understanding of existing and changing tax laws as part of communicating to internal and external stakeholders.Qualifications
  • Degree in Finance & Accounting or related field with relevant mix of qualification and experience.
  • ACCA or currently pursuing is acceptable.
  • Minimum 4 years in public practice
  • CTA qualified or substantial relevant work experience gained within tax field.
  • Able to communicate with various stakeholders.
  • Practical knowledge of tax compliance for international regions


Skills and Competencies

  • Strong technical skills coupled with the communication skills to explain complex issues in clear concise way to clients and non-tax colleague.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, which will be demonstrated through maintaining and developing External Advisor, Opco client relationships.
  • Providing advice and technical research and guidance to multiple stakeholders covering multiple jurisdictions.
