Senior Sales Engineer (Penang)
Salary Range : 6000 - 8500

Leading global manufacturer and distributor of a comprehensive range of components. We are currently hiring Field Sales Engineer based Penang in identifying and qualify leads/opportunities in CRM through various strategic initiatives.
 

Job Description

  • Spend a minimum of 40%-60% of time on the road meeting customers in person. 
  • Maximise sales opportunities through B2B activity including regular outcall activity as well as face-to-face meeting customers regularly. 
  • Proactively seek out to win new business for the company. 
  • Defend and grow (Cross Selling) existing revenue streams through excellent account management to build long term relationships.
  • Build strong internal relationships by working with Product Management, Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain and Customer Service to drive business objectives. 
  • Effective use of questioning and listening techniques to understand the customer’s application requirements to maximize cross selling of Essentra Components full product ranges. 
  • Prepare and follow up sales quotations to customers, prospects and leads documenting all activity in CRM.
  • Regular maintenance of accurate customer records and opportunity management in CRM.   
  • Operate effectively within current policies and procedures relating to pricing, order entry and lead times by becoming adept to using all of the Essentra Components systems and resources. 
  • Participate in team briefings and ensure regular communication with team leaders and other team members to address issues and develop a wider range of skills. 
  • Participate enthusiastically in specific projects (business development and market research) and team activities when called upon. 
  • Attend trainings and develop relevant knowledge, techniques and skills. 
  • Provide additional support for the inbound Customer Sales & Service team when required.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the Essentra Components product range.  
  • Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned

Job Requirement
  • Degree in Business / Engineering / Commercial with minimum 2 years of relevant experience
  • 5+ Years’ experience in B2B Sales in a commercial environment. 
  • Proven track record of sales territory growth and new business development.
  • Experience in Semiconductor, Electrical & Electronics, System Integration, Motor Vehicle Industries.
  • Experience dealing with sales targets and budgets.
  • Experience with negotiating business opportunities with customers.
  • Experience with opportunity management using a CRM platform.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office – Outlook, Excel, D365 CE (considered a plus with experience using it), and CRM system
