Senior Sales Engineer

Salary: RM7,500

  • Providing support and advice to our customers as a competent partner
  • Winning new orders, securing and extending existing business
  • Responsibility for sales in his sales area
  • Defining action priorities in order to achieve the sales goals
  • Establishing realistic sales plans (OP) for the next business year, and re-estimating the sales situation for the current business year
  • Defining market potentials and target groups
  • Winning new customers by means of comprehensive groundwork and takeover of competitors’ positions
  • Winning new customers in specific product and target groups
  • Initiating new product developments and finding new applications
  • Gathering information, especially about the market position and competitors, and observe competitor activities
  • Quantity and sales planning for OP and re-estimation
  • Conducting sales and product presentation
  • Handling of complaints concerning product properties and applications, recording such complaints and providing detailed information to the pertinent departments at the headquarters
  • Participating in fairs and exhibitions
  • Cooperating in the introduction of new products and tests carried out at the customers
  • Writing reports about important customer matters and customer calls, and providing such reports to the headquarters
  • Coordinating customer contacts within the sales area in cooperation with other sales staff and the headquarters
  • Cooperation in training seminars for customers
  • Establishing a weekly plan of customer calls aiming at providing optimum customer support (ie longest possible active sales time at the customers)
  • Generally, four days of travel and one office day per week; one or two telephone days per month, as required
  • Working with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool for weekly call plans, sales opportunities, call reports, etc.

 

Quatifications :

  • Bachelor of Engineering in mechanic, chemical, industrial, petrochemical educational background is required.
  • Min. 3-5 years of sales experience in industrial products with direct sales to end customers  is preferred.
  • Experience in dealing with premium and technically-explainable products and solutions.
  • Exp in Industrial Lubricants, bearing, Conveyor or other industrial consumable fluid/ chemical
  • Exp in selling directly to manufacturing and factories
  • Exp in working in MNC is preferred but not necessary
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Malaysian Citizen and very good in English
  • Good interpersonal skills and a team orientated working-style.
  • Own car (we will provide fleet card). Driver’s license and possession of own car is required.
