Responsibilities:

Manages or performs work associated with both import and export administration including :
  • Managing and planning import process, customs documentation and ensure legal compliance within government rules and regulations including appropriate license/permits for shipments
  • Overseeing the issue of import licenses and completion of monetary transactions associated with the import in a timely manner
  • Controlling all documentation related to the export process , ensuring necessary documentation is provided to customers to enable them to receive the products without delay (only related to import and export regulations)
  • Ensuring compliance with the home and foreign country government laws and customs regulations

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of Export/Import Law of Malaysia (STA 2010) and Customs Act 1965 and shipment functions
  • Good to have exposure and understanding of US-Re-Export and European Re-Export Regulations
  • Proficiency, understanding and experience in using/working with Enterprise Software Systems e.g. SAP, Oracle,
  • BaaN , MFG Pro and etc
  • Work with minimal supervision
  • Discipline and ethics in ensuring compliance to the regulations (approvals)

Educational/ Work Experience Requirements:
  • Diploma/Degree preferably in Supply Chain Logistics or Import/Export Law
  • Five years working experience in related functions/fields
  • Experience working/engaging with relevant government agencies is preferred but not mandatory
