JOB DESCRIPTION
The finance manager plays a vital role in overseeing financial management and accounting operations. This position requires strong accounting skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Accounting and Financial Management
Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries, and ad-hoc assignments, ensuring accurate and timely processing of transactions.
Review and reconcile financial statements and accounts to identify discrepancies and ensure data accuracy.
Oversee cash flow forecasts to ensure the company has sufficient funds to meet operational needs, payroll, and client billing cycles.
Ensure the efficient management of working capital, collaborating with the credit control team on the timely collection of receivables and appropriate handling of payables.
Reporting and Compliance
Prepare and review comprehensive financial reports for local, regional, and global purposes.
Stay up to date with changes in accounting regulations, direct and indirect taxes regulations and best practices, ensuring compliance and driving process improvements.
Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and relevant regulatory requirements.
Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, financial institutions, consultants, authorities, and statutory bodies and ensure timely submission of reports.
Strategic Support and Decision-Making
Collaborate with local and regional teams to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.
Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes, analyzing financial data to assist in planning and resource allocation.
Collaborate with the PayBill team to ensure accurate and timely payments to associates and billings to clients.
Leadership and Team Management
Provide training, guidance, and support to subordinate staff, monitor and review their performance to ensure KPI achievement, and maintain reasonable quality of work.
Assist in formulating and recommending accounting and administrative policies and procedures for the company, to enhance financial workflows, reduce costs, and improve efficiency.
Ad-hoc Assignments
The job function listed is not exhaustive and shall also include any ad-hoc projects and responsibilities as assigned from time to time.
CANDIDATE PROFILE/JOB AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent / Professional Accounting Qualification
A minimum of 7 to 10 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles, with at least 1 to 3 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
Good knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and relevant regulations (including US GAAP).
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Strong organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
